U of I Leaders Oppose Pension Deal

University of Illinois’ leaders are opposing the proposed pension reform plan that will likely be voted on this week.  President Robert Easter sent a letter to the legislative leaders expressing disappointment at the details of the bill.  He says that Illinois will fall behind in their ability to recruit and retain the faculty that people come to expect from the university.  Officials say the cap on how much salary can be used to calculate pension contributions will affect two-thousand university employees.
