Secretary of State Jesse White says drivers will have a couple of new laws to be aware of starting January 1st. One is for teens trying to get a license. If they have an unresolved traffic citation, they will not be able to get a driver's license. Kelsey's Law also allows the Secretary of State's Office to cancel a graduated driver's license for anyone under 18 if it is determined there's a citation that's not been resolved. The second new law is called Patricia's Law and will make sure drivers involved in fatal crashes will be ineligible for court supervision unless they have maintained a clean driving history.
