Brothers Get Probation For Prophetstown Fires

The two young brothers who set downtown Prophetstown on fire will spend the next five years on probation.  The sentence for the older brother came down earlier this week.  The 17 and 12-year-olds both pleaded guilty to arson.  The younger of the two learned his fate back in January.  The brothers caused millions-of-dollars in damages when they set a couple small fires near the library and a popular eatery last summer.  The fire spread and destroyed at least eight historic sites and a couple restaurants.
