Morgan Blakey Verdict

20 year old Morgan Blakey of Toulon was found guilty in Henry County Circuit Court on Thursday on charges of reckless homicide and aggravated driving under the influence.

The decision was rendered by Henry County Circuit Judge Ted Hamer after the defense had waived a jury trial.

Blakey was charged in connection with an accident that occurred on November 29th, 2011 south of Kewanee. That accident took the lives of 16 year old Levi Berg and 15 year old Kelsey Clifford both of Toulon and 18 year old Bradley Wood Jr. of Wyoming.

Blakey could receive a sentence that ranges anywhere from probation to up to six to twenty eight years in prison.

Sentencing has been set for September 9th.
