A Kewanee man was sentenced last week in Henry County Circuit Court to six years in prison after entering a negotiated plea on charges of manufacturing of methamphetamine.
26 year old Robert Barnes was also sentenced to a concurrent one year sentence for resisting a peace officer.
Barnes was also sentenced to two years mandatory supervised release after he gets out of jail.
Barnes must also pay over $2100 in fees and court costs.
Barnes received that sentence at a time in which he was awaiting sentencing for a
previous methamphetamine charge for which he was also sentenced to two years in jail with a one year mandatory supervised release.
