20 year old Morgan Blakey of Toulon was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Monday on charges of reckless homicide and aggravated driving under the influence.
Blakey was the driver of a vehicle that crashed south of Kewanee on November 29th of 2011 that ultimately claimed the lives of 16 year old Levi Berg and 15 year old Kelsey Clifford, both of Toulon and also 18 year old Bradley Wood Jr. of Wyoming.
Blakey had been found guilty of the two charges in Henry County Circuit Court earlier this year.
Blakey will have to serve at least 85 per cent of the sentence or just over 10 years.
Judge Ted Hamer also ordered Blakey to pay fines of $10,000 and court costs. Blakey will also face two years of supervised release once he is out of jail.
