Confiscated Property Auction

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources will conduct an auction of its inventory of confiscated and abandoned property at the Jack Perschbacher Service Center in Pawnee Saturday, September 14th.  Bidder registration for the auction will begin at 7 AM, with the auction beginning at 9 AM.  Potential bidders may inspect the merchandise beginning at 7 AM the day of the sale.  Some of the items to be offered at the auction include deer hunting tree stands and ladders, watercraft including canoes, v-hulls, jon boats and kayaks, bows, and rods and reels.  Pictures and descriptions of items to be auctioned may be viewed at www.larryrichieauctioneer.com.  Boy Scouts of Pawnee Troop 73 will be on site selling food and beverages.  Confiscated and abandoned property auctions are conducted by the I-D-N-R approximately every five years.  As required by law, all proceeds from these auctions are deposited into the State Wildlife and Fish Fund.  The last auction conducted in 2009 brought in over 29-thousand dollars.
