General Assembly Budget Projections Add Almost 400-Million In Revenue

The Illinois General Assembly is forecasting nearly 400-million more dollars in revenue coming in this fiscal year. The commission in charge of predicting cash flow says nearly 200-million additional dollars in sales taxes will be collected. It’s about a one-percent increase in revenue. Some state officials say the money could make a modest dent in back wages for union workers and other bills the state owes.
