Louise A. “Noonie” Baker, 92, of Kewanee, Il. died Friday, March 29, 2013 at 1:15 p.m. at Kewanee Care Home. . Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 3, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Kewanee. The Rev. Dr. Dale Dykstra will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens Cemetery, rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church or the Kewanee Humane Society.
Noonie was born June 25, 1920 in Kewanee the daughter Carl and Laura (Williamson) Anderson. She was reared and educated in Wethersfield schools and married Harold Baker on August 5, 1950 in Kewanee, Il. He preceded her in death in 1981. She was also preceded by one brother Robert and four sisters, Katherine, Helen, Mary and Mildred.
Surviving are 3 daughters Millie (Herb) Whitmer and Laurie (Bob) Miller both of Kewanee and Kay (Steve) Morrison of Milan, Il., six grandchildren Amy, Brooke, Sarah, Scott, Anna, and Daniel, 11 great grandchildren and one brother Burton (Joan) Anderson of Pennsylvania.
Noonie worked at the former Carlson grocery store, Faull Furniture and SuperAmerica all in Kewanee prior to her retirement.. Noonie was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kewanee. She enjoyed playing cards and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
