Frank E. Wilson, 80, of Wyoming, died at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013, in the Emergency Room at Kewanee Hospital.
Frank was born September 22, 1932, in Princeville, the son of Walter and Anna Miller Wilson. He married Dorthea Bent on January 28, 1952, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Candice (Gene) Zaehringer of Hampton, IL; one son, David (Kathy) Wilson of Chillicothe; 3 grandchildren, Nolan, Amanda, and Timber Wilson; and one brother, Charles Wilson of Hudson, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wilbur, and two sisters, Lillian Nelson and Betty Werner.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the first Calvary during the Korean War. Frank worked at Caterpillar as a fire inspector and in security.
Frank was a good and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a member of the Rome Baptist Church where he faithfully served his Lord.
Funeral service will be held at noon, Monday, September 9, 2013, at Rome Baptist Church, Rome, IL. Pastor Phillip Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to funeral service at the church. Cremation will follow and burial of ashes will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rome Baptist Church or Stark County Ambulance Service.
