Patti A. Ince

Patti A. Ince, 46, of Kewanee, Il. died at 10:24 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the emergency room at Kewanee Hospital. Patti was born June 5, 1967 in Rockford, Il. the daughter of Ronald and Sharon (Herrick) Larson. She grew up in Rockford until the age of six when the family moved to Kewanee. She graduated from Kewanee High School in 1985. Patti later graduated from the School of Nursing at Black Hawk East Jr. College in Kewanee. Patti married Jim Ince on August 17, 1985 in Kewanee. He survives along with one son Josh Ince of Rock Island, Il., one daughter Cassi Ince of Normal, Il., twin granddaughters Brezlyn and Bryer Ince, two sisters Michele (Paul) Rispoli and Amy (John) Novak all of Las Vegas, Nv., three nieces Natalie, Emma and Riley Novak, numerous nieces and nephews on the Ince side of the family, her father Ron Larson of Kewanee and her mother Sharon Fitzgerald of Grand Harbor, Mi. and her maternal grandmother Dorothy Herrick of Princeton, Il. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents and her father and mother in law Basil and Mary Jane Ince.

Patti worked for many years as an LPN in Kewanee last working at Courtyard Estates. She had also owned and operated her own child day care “Patti’s Playpen” in Kewanee. She was a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, greater Illinois Chapter. She enjoyed crafts, singing, bowling, watching Law and Order on TV, her grandchildren and spending time with family. She lived for her husband and children.

A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. Her uncle, Tim Herrick, will lead the service. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services with private family inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National M.S. Society, greater Illinois Chapter.
