Wayne Puckett, 54, of Kewanee, Il. died at 12:48 P.M. Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his home. Wayne was born March 17, 1959 in Cherry Point, North Carolina the son of Ken and Betty (Johnson) Puckett. The family moved to Annawan when Wayne was five years old. He graduated from Kewanee High School in 1977. Wayne joined the army and served for four years. He had retired from Butler Manufacturing.
Surviving is one son Glenn (Natalie) Puckett of Kewanee, a daughter Amanda (Josh) Camey of Kewanee, five grandchildren Autumn and Declan Puckett and Isaac, Liam and Caleb Camey, his parents Ken and Betty Puckett of Kewanee, one brother Andy (Asmik) Puckett of Milan, Il., two sisters Connie Stoner of Kewanee and Beth (Michael) Edwards of Phoenix, Az. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, reading Zombie books and his service dog “Curley”
His body was donated to the Illinois Anatomical Gift Association. There will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wayne Puckett memorial fund and may be sent to the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, 219 E. 2nd St. Kewanee, Il who is in charge of arrangements.
