James J. O’Brien III, 23, of Geneseo passed away suddenly on June 7th, 2014 at his home. A memorial service celebrating James’ life will be held 7:00 PM Friday, June 13, 2014 at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service (6-7PM) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request a donation to your favorite charity or to honor his memory with an act of kindness to celebrate his gentle and giving spirit.
James was born on September 14, 1990 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, the son of James J O’Brien Jr and Diane Heymans. He graduated from Geneseo High School in 2008, and attended Blackhawk College. He worked for many years at Walmart; first in Quakertown, Pennsylvania and for the past 7 years in Geneseo, where he was a customer service manager. James loved history, science, archery, and golf. He was active in 4-H when he was younger.
He is survived by his father, James J. O’Brien Jr.; his mother Diane (Charles) Shoemaker; 3 brothers: Shaun Nagorski, Kevin O’Brien and Austin O’Brien; grandparents: Jeanne Heymans and Wayne Heimbach; aunts and uncles: Dee and Roy Clark, Joan and Bob Hirsh, Randy and Angela Heymans; and niece: Juliette Sevior.
