Robert Gene Hagy, 76, of Toulon, formerly of Galva, died 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, where he was a resident.
Gene was born April 28, 1936, in Henry County, Illinois, the son of Charles and Maggie Pickering Hagy.
Surviving are two brothers, Lee Hagy and Duane (Helen) Hagy both of Galva, IL. Three brothers, Charles Hagy, Larry Hagy, and Dean Hagy, and one sister, Myrtle Hagy preceded him in death.
Gene attended Wethersfield High School and worked as a farm hand for several years. Gene enjoyed tractor pulls, truck pulls, and the Peoria stock car races.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Toulon Funeral Home. Rev. Karen Martin will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Toulon Cemetery.
