Elizabeth A. Fassett, 82, of Geneseo passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at her home. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery. Rodney Weber will officiate. Visitation for Elizabeth will be from 9:30 -10:30 am Saturday at the Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to Geneseo Food Pantry or Geneseo High School FFA Chapter.
Elizabeth was born June 22, 1930 to Ralph S. and Bernice L. (Pritchard) Bollen in Geneseo. She graduated from Geneseo High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Paul R. Fassett on December 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1987. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Geneseo. Her community activities included volunteering to read with children at Northside School and serving as an Election Judge.
She enjoyed a lifelong interest in gardening and agriculture and she worked diligently alongside of her husband on the family farm North of Geneseo. She was an accomplished cook and seamstress. She made many quilts for the Linus Project. She was also a very talented artist working with many different mediums. She consigned her art work at local businesses and craft fairs.
Elizabeth is survived by her son: Roger P. (Cathelean) Fassett of Geneseo; her daughter: Linda L. (Joseph) Rudolphi of Noble; 5 grandchildren: Olivia, John, and Kathleen Rudolphi, and Maria and Nolan Fassett; 1 sister: Mary Lou (Roy) Booker or Springfield; 2 nephews: Mark Booker, Dexter, MO, and Troy Booker, Breckenridge, Co.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
