Former MLB slugger Jim Thome [[ TOH-me ]] wants to get back into uniform, but not as a player. The 22-year veteran tells the "Chicago Sun-Times" that he'd like to become a manager some day. The 43-year-old joined the White Sox front office this offseason as a special assistant to general manager Rick Hahn. Thome has spent some time during spring training working with players. Thome played for the White Sox, Indians, Phillies, Twins, Dodgers and Orioles during his career, bashing 612 homers along the way.
