Cards Fly Over Rockies

Matt Holliday was 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI as the Cardinals beat the Rockies, 4-1. Adam Wainwright moved to 7-and-8 by striking out seven and allowing one run across six innings. St. Louis has won three of its last four games. Rockies pitcher Jeremy Guthrie knocked in their only run while dropping to 3-and-8 despite giving up only two runs in six innings. Carlos Gonzalez was 2-for-4 for Colorado, which is 1-and-4 in its last five games.
